From the Fringe to the Centre: Why I No Longer Gate-keep Knowledge
In my last post, I wrote about how the heart of financial planning has been pushed to the fringe — and how some buyers are bringing it back to the centre.
Now there’s another shift happening. For years, knowledge in our industry has been tightly held, guarded like a trade secret. Gatekeeping is the norm. If you wanted insight, you had to be inside the rooms or pay for it.
I no longer believe that serves everyone.
The truth is, sellers, buyers, and their clients are better off when knowledge flows freely. When sellers understand what buyers are really looking for, they make better decisions. When buyers are open about their models, the right sellers find them. And when clients see integrity in the process, they trust the outcomes.
So going forward I now going to share more of what I know, see and hear. The biggest risks often come from what you don’t know. And the only way to close that gap is to stop hoarding knowledge and start using it to build alignment.
The fringe is becoming the centre. And, perhaps open-source will be the bridge. Please check out Capital Bridge Studio’s.
